Fire Rating
Both 0.7mm and 2.0mm sheeting comply with the requirements for a Class 1 spread of
flame with a Class 0 designated surface as defined in Appendix A,
Paragraph 12 of approved document B, ‘Fire’, to The Building Regulations
1991 (2000 Edition) and as tested to BS476: part 6: 1989 and part 7:
1987. Extruded products also give a Class 0 designated surface having
been tested to BS476: part 6: 1989 and part 7: 1997.
Chemical, Fungal and Bacterial Resistance
Acrovyn is formulated to resist most commonly used chemical solutions, bacteria (including MRSA) and mould growth.
Tested in accordance with BS 2782: Part 8, Method 830a: 1999, BS EN ISO 175:2001 (Chemical) and BS EN ISO 846: 1997 (Bacterial and Fungal Resistance).
Thermal Performance
Acrovyn will, like most materials, expand and contract with changes in temperature, in the order of 0.07mm/m for every one degree Celsius rise or fall.
It is important to allow for this at sheet edges, joint positions etc., when adhering the sheeting or when butting long lengths of profiles. Please contact our Customer Service Team for more information on thermal movements.

COSHH Regulations
Construction Specialties (UK) Limited comply with the statutory requirement for the
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH). MSD Sheets are available upon request.
BS 8300:2001 and Approved Document M

C/S Acrovyn’s extensive colour palette assists in achieving these requirements and Light Reflectance Values for each of the colours are available from our Customer Service Team on +44 (0)1296 611066.
C/S Acrovyn range includes Approved Document M compliant handrails on stainless steel brackets. A choice of handrail finishes is available, including timber, through-colour Acrovyn and stainless steel.
