C/S Acrovyn® Fire Rated Door Edge Protectors

As a complete door edge fitting C/S Acrovyn Door Edge Protectors will help reduce damage and expensive repair costs to door edges, keeping the door edges safe and increasing the life of the door significantly. Available for non-fire rated and fire-rated doors, they are suitable for use with a wide range of fire rated door constructions.

Acrovyn Door Edge Protector

Features:

  • High impact protection channel made of 2mm thick Acrovyn Sheet, with an 8mm thick toughened and recycled Acrovyn internal lipping and fire seal to match fire rating of the door
  • Fire tested and assessed for a wide range of fire door constructions to BS 476 part 20/22
  • Simple and easy installation for new and existing doors with concealed fixing
  • Available in widths to suit door thicknesses from 44 to 54mm
  • Co-ordinates with Acrovyn Kick Plates & Push Plates and Door Frame Protection, for total impact protection for the door
  • Formed to suit radiused or square edged doors

The fire tests were completed to encompass a wide range of door constructions and configurations to ensure that the refurbished door will retain its fire rating integrity when C/S Acrovyn Door Edge Protectors are installed.

Acrovyn Door Edge Protector - Required Ordering DimensionsDoor Edge Protector Dimensions Required

Door Edge Protectors are produced to order. The thickness of Acrovyn Sheet should be taken into account when calculating the Door Edge Protector width to ensure that the door continues to fit correctly into the frame. Please provide the internal dimension ‘x’, and leg length 'y' (50mm as standard, max. 70mm), as shown on the drawing.

C/S Acrovyn® Door Edge Protection Channels

Door Edge Channels are used to reduce the effect of continued impact damage to door edges and offer a simple solution to a refurbishment need on non fire rated doors.

Features:

  • Door edge protection channels are made from 2mm or 1.5mm thick Acrovyn Sheet to specific height requirements and must be recess mounted into door edge/s
  • Square or round edge channels can be supplied

Acrovyn® Door Edge Protection Channel Ordering DimensionsDoor Edge Protector Dimensions Required

Square edge channels are produced to specific sizes using line bending. Finished bend achieved is pencil round on outside bends.The thickness of Acrovyn Sheet should be taken into account when calculating channel sizes. Please provide required internal dimensions ‘x’ and ‘y’, as shown on the drawing.

Round edge channels are produced using our thermoforming equipment and customer supplied tool. Please contact us for further information.
